There are plenty of beautiful waterfalls on the path beside the Gill. The path becomes quite rocky opposite Brown How, (seen here to the right of the photo) but this section can be avoided by crossing the stream (if it's safe to do so!) and following a grassy path on Brown How, keeping the river to your right until Greendale Tarn is reached.text/html2020-04-26T10:01:44+00:00https://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/41013Sharon Leedell54.475567 -3.204432NY2209 : Great Gable from wild camp

On our Mountain Leader training course, the group was lucky enough to see this fantastic sunset!text/html2020-04-26T09:58:23+00:00https://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/41013Sharon Leedell54.567169 -3.314785NY1519 : Crummock Water

I was a bit too late to catch the cloud inversion but it was a stunning morning nonetheless!text/html2020-04-26T09:56:22+00:00https://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/41013Sharon Leedell54.570341 -3.312412NY1520 : Crummock Water

I managed to get out for a walk just before the lockdown for Coronavirus struck and was rewarded with some remarkable weather conditions!text/html2020-04-26T09:20:00+00:00https://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/41013Sharon Leedell54.742890 -3.455002NY0639 : Bridge over reed pond, Crosscanonby Nature Reserve

A pretty and well maintained little nature reserve beside the beach.text/html2020-04-26T09:17:44+00:00https://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/41013Sharon Leedell54.742707 -3.455306NY0639 : Crosscanonby Nature Reserve

Only takes a few minutes to walk round but it's very pretty and well used by localstext/html2020-04-26T09:14:32+00:00https://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/41013Sharon Leedell54.737409 -3.447349NY0639 : St John the Evangelist's Church, Crosscanonby

This is the point where the Allerdale Ramble path crosses a farmers track from fields (non-dog-friendly double stiles in case anyone has to lift a dog over these things!). Fabulous view to the Western fells.text/html2020-04-26T08:59:19+00:00https://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/41013Sharon Leedell54.743686 -3.456118NY0639 : Beach at Crosscanonby

The car park shown in previously submitted photos should be right here, but over time it has been eroded away and the beach now starts but a few yards from the road!text/html2017-05-12T21:02:46+00:00https://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/41013Sharon Leedell54.536948 -3.130352NY2616 : Looking downhill to Watendlath from Joppletyhow Moss

A dry spell made this path quite pleasant to follow, but it appeared it would normally be very boggy. Helvellyn ranges and High Tove are on the horizon.text/html2017-05-12T20:54:47+00:00https://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/41013Sharon Leedell54.540134 -3.135695NY2616 : Joppletyhow Moss

A brilliantly named fell, I suspect this would normally be extremely boggy and tough to walk through, but after a long dry spell it was pleasantly springy with a lot of heather and the odd boggy bit.
