‘Bird Stones’: Mill Road Cemetery artwork

Six standing stones and one wooden bench commissioned from sculptor Gordon Young, known for SD3036 : The Comedy Carpet in Blackpool and the NT2840 : 7stanes signposts. All are inscribed with poetry related to birds, and the stones have perches and water wells. Inaugurated by the sculptor and the Mayor of Cambridge, Paul Saunders, 22 February 2014.
