Disused quarry

The quarry is smaller than the disused Bonhill QuarryLink – which is located about 250 metres to the WSW. Map evidence also shows that it fell into disuse at an earlier period than Bonhill Quarry: on the second-edition OS map (revised c.1896/97), it is already labelled an "old quarry"; the map revision of c.1914 shows trees growing within the pit.

About shared descriptions

These Shared Descriptions are common to multiple images.

For example, you can create a generic description for an object shown in a photo, and reuse the description on all photos of the object. All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
