Part of St Mary's Abbey, the ground floor of this timber and stone building is medieval and would have served as a guest house or barn. It is a Grade II* listed building (English Heritage Building ID: 464212 Link
The first floor was rebuilt in the 20th century to house the Yorkshire Museum's archaeology collection.
It is now used to host conferences and special functions such as lectures, receptions etc.
