Flying Into Manchester
A series of photos taken from a commercial (Jet2 Link
) flight from Prague to Manchester on 18th April 2014. The initial approach was from the north east, having crossed the North Sea coast north of The Wash. The final approach needed to be from the south west, which entailed a triangular route from Mexborough due west to Atherton where a turn was made to the south-south west before turning sharply to the north east around Sandiway.
The first photo was taken at Mexborough; this and the first half dozen photos were taken in cloudy conditions, but the remainder of the route was clear and sunny.
