Wokefield Common

Wokefield Common is a 60 hectare common north of Mortimer which is managed by West Berkshire Council under a scheme of regulation and management made under Part I of the Commons Act 1899, although Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust carries out the management on behalf of the council.
The common is now mainly mixed woodland with some pine forest, although would once have been a good deal more open heathland.
The common is crossed by several public bridleways and footpaths, as well as a network of other paths and tracks: however, the common is also subject to a public right of access under the scheme made by Bradfield Rural District Council in 1953.
The common was registered as Burghfield Common, register unit CL31.

About shared descriptions

These Shared Descriptions are common to multiple images.

For example, you can create a generic description for an object shown in a photo, and reuse the description on all photos of the object. All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
