Carman Muir (NW) pylon access track

Vehicle tracks made in 2014 during overhead line refurbishment. Carman Muir was entered from the southern side of Cardross Road, at NS36917883, allowing work on the lines from NS36687871 to NS37557824, where a dry-stone dyke blocks the way. Access to the overhead line on the other side of that dyke was by means of a newly-created track leading uphill from the former site of Nether Dalquhurn Farm: see Link for that track.
The line of pylons was originally set up in 1949, linking the area to the Loch Sloy hydroelectric scheme.
