Howardian Local Nature Reserve, Cardiff :: Shared Description

Originally established in 1973 as a 6 acre reserve, it now extends to 30 acres.
Much of the reserve site was a disused domestic rubbish tip.
It was designated a Local Nature Reserve in 1991.
A mostly peaceful place considering that it is surrounded on three sides by busy dual carriageways.
