Bowbeat wind farm :: Shared Description

This comprises 24 turbines each rated at 1.3 MW, hub height 50m, blade length 30m. It is run by the E-on energy group and began operation in September 2002.

I timed the blade rotation period as 3 seconds per rev, so with a 30m radius, the blade tips are moving at about 62 metres per second, or about 140 mph.
