Tring 700th anniversary of charter
The following year a ten day feast was held to celebrate the town's new status - this commenced on 29th June 1316.
By a conflation of these dates, the 700th anniversary of the charter was celebrated a fortnight earlier than it really should have been, on 29th June 2015.
Various events took place in and around the town and the church bells were rung for several hours. There was a service in the church and a beer tent and barbecue in the church grounds. The local knitters "yarn bombed" Church Square as can be seen from several of the photos.
