Muckairn Parish Church, Taynuilt, Argyll & Bute
Church of Scotland. Designed by Thomas Telford, the current Muckairn Parish Church dates from 1829 and is one of the publicly-funded “Telford” or “Parliamentary Churches” constructed across the Highlands and Islands in the early part of the 19th Century. However, an earlier Church is believed to have existed on this site from the 1770s, while there are also nearby remains of a 15th Century structure.
