Roman Park, Bearsden :: Shared Description

The park is between Milverton Avenue and Westbourne Crescent, and can be accessed from Iain Road. Within the park, a surviving length of the ditch of the Antonine Wall can be seen as a slight hollow. An exposed section of the stone base of the rampart itself has also been preserved and is on display. Two similar exposed sections of the base of the rampart can be seen in New Kilpatrick Cemetery Link and another can be seen in Goldenhill Park in Duntocher.
