Jane Austen's House, Chawton
The house is now a museum containing Austen memorabilia and with much interesting information about Jane and her family.
All Jane's major works were written - or at least completed - while she was living here.
These include:
Pride & Prejudice, Sense & Sensibilty, Emma, Persuasion and Mansfield Park.
Jane was born on Saturday 16th December 1775 at Steventon Rectory Link
and died on Friday 18th July 1817 in Winchester.
