Lithic working site :: Shared Description

This outcrop is oriented N-S, and measures 90 metres in that direction. It is located just 60 metres to the west of Lurg Moor Roman Forlet (see Link for details), but it dates from an earlier period, and has been identified as a site where stone was worked into tools by a process of chipping and flaking. See LinkExternal link (at Canmore) for further details, and LinkExternal link for an annotated satellite image (zoom out for other nearby antiquities).

These Shared Descriptions are common to multiple images. For example, you can create a generic description for an object shown in a photo, and reuse the description on all photos of the object. All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
