Middlesbrough Town Hall before its renovation 2016
The building is Grade II* listed and was design by Darlington architect George Gordon Hoskins. It was opened in 1889 by the Prince and Princess of Wales. Initially designed to accommodate all of the corporations functions including public health, fire station, magistrates' court and police station it quickly became crowded. Restoration will bring it back to its Victorian glory.
