Leazes Park

Leazes Park is a park is the Newcastle's oldest park; it was officially opened in December 1873 (LinkExternal link Newcastle University Library). The park lies to the west of the city centre, next to St James' Park football stadium and the Royal Victoria Infirmary. The layout of the park centres on a lake above the course of the Lort Burn.
