Mount Grace Charterhouse, the Great Court :: Shared Description

There are 15 cells ranged around the court, each with its own garden and is separated by high walls. The 'cell' was in practice a quite commodious two storey house, with three rooms (bedroom, study and living room) on the ground floor and a large workshop on the first floor. There was water piped to each cell and there was a latrine which was cleansed by a flowing drain.
