A walk from Tre'r-ddôl to Glandyfi

Mostly on the Wales Coast Path, a very pleasant walk of just under 7 miles (from my GPS) which took almost exactly 3.5 hours (including walking out from Glandyfi to Dovey Junction station). The fleeter of foot will no doubt need less time..

Travel logistics are straightforward: a bus from Aberystwyth to Tre'r-ddôl (an hourly X28 service from Aber to Machynlleth). I chose to use the train from Dovey Junction to return, but as the service is mostly 2 hourly, a bus back to Aber from Glandyfi might be more convenient.

What to expect: The first part of the walk is quite heavily wooded and the views are obscured, with just an occasional glimpse of the Dyfi Estuary. Then a twisty stretch through farmland, and with mountain streams to cross with a multitude of footbridges. Having traversed Afon Einion above Furnace, the views across the Dyfi Estuary are magnificent - make sure that you have plenty of film for your camera :-). Then another stretch of farmland to Glandyfi for the bus, or another kilometre walk out to Dovey Junction Station.
