Reconstruction of Cuckoo Road bridge, Newport

The electrification of the South Wales Mainline requires that a number of bridges in and around Newport undergo modification as they are too low to accommodate the overhead wires.
One of these is the Cuckoo Road bridge which is off Lighthouse Road (B4239). This is on an unmade road, near Duffryn, on the edge of Newport towards Cardiff.
A temporary footbridge across the railway has been provided for the duration of the work.
This is on the Wales Coast Path.
