St Paul's church and school, Wibsey

The Anglican parish church of St Paul at Wibsey, and the adjacent primary school, were built in 1839-40 by the little known architect Walker Rawstons for the Hardy family, who remained patrons until the new Diocese of Bradford was formed in the early 20th century, when patronage passed to the Bishop. It is now part of the Diocese of Leeds.

The church is in Early English style, with an octagonal spire and prominent transepts. It is grade 2 listed (list entry 1133732).

The parish was originally named St Paul, Buttershaw as there was already a Chapel of Ease at Wibsey, and retained that name until 2013 when it became St Paul, Wibsey; the original chapel is now called Holy Trinity, Low Moor.

The school is still open; in the now abandoned three-stage education system of Bradford district, it was a "first school".
