King's Lynn Docks

King's Lynn Docks are located to the north of the town of King's Lynn. They are sited on the River Great Ouse which provides access to the North Sea via the Lynn Channel.
The docks are operated as the Port of King's Lynn by Associated British Ports. It handles around 750,000 tonnes of cargo a year, including agricultural and forest products, chemicals, steel and other metals. Three docks, including the tidal Riverside Quay, can accommodate vessels up to 140 metres in length. The docks cover an area of 39 hectares and include the 25,000 tonne capacity Alexandra Grain Silo complex. Although King's Lynn has been a port since the 13th century, the modern docks complex was built in the 1860s.

About shared descriptions

These Shared Descriptions are common to multiple images.

For example, you can create a generic description for an object shown in a photo, and reuse the description on all photos of the object. All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
