St Columba's church, Scarborough

The church was designed by Temple Moore in 1914, but not built until after his death, being completed in 1926 by his son-in-law. About half his churches, which are in the late Gothic revival style but more airy and spacious than others, are in North Yorkshire. This one is listed grade 2* (list entry 1272794).

Columba was a 6th century Irish saint, but the choice of name for the church may have been influenced more by the name of the road on which it stands: Columbus Ravine.

Worship is in the liberal catholic style within the Church of England.
