Benmore Botanic Garden :: Shared Description

An outstation of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh in Argyll, in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. A valley and mountainside woodland of ca. 45ha, with a world famous collection of plants from the east and the Himalaya to North and South America. Particularly impressive are a great avenue of 150-year old giant redwoods, the restored Victorian Fernery, the abundance of trees from northern and southern regions and magnificent rhododendrons and other plants of the Ericaceae.
