Dr Ron Hyde 7 Mile Race 2018

The final of four races comprising the Tour of Tameside starts and finishes outside Hyde Town Hall. The 7 mile running route through Hyde Town Centre and the surrounding area is named after the athlete Ron Hill who, no longer able to compete in the race, now starts it.

The 2018 winner was Mohammad Aburezeq of Altrincham & District AC in a time of 36 min 10 sec. The first female home was Kirsty Longley in a time of 42:41. Of the 645 runners there was only one non finisher. The last finisher came home in 1 hour, 33 mins 22 sec. Full results at LinkExternal link
