Former Govan Town Hall
Also known as Govan Burgh Hall, the Category B Listed red sandstone hall Link
is in Beaux Arts style by architects Thomson and Sandilands. Opened in 1902, at which time Govan was a town in its own right, with the typical municipal offices and Council chamber of the time. Sadly, much of the magnificent original interior has been destroyed by successive remodelling since the early 1970s.
The town/burgh of Govan was annexed by Glasgow in 1912. The building is now occupied by Film City Glasgow Link .
