John Carr of York :: Shared Description

John Carr of York (1723-1807) was a prolific architect who was happy to turn his hand to a wide variety of buildings. These included Civic buildings and many private houses, too numerous to list here. He was also surveyor of bridges to the North and West Ridings of Yorkshire.
