The remains of a track :: Shared Description

The first-edition OS map (surveyed in 1859) shows a track that begins at about NS39827800, and heads southeast from there (this part corresponds to a present-day alignment of trees, more apparent on satellite imagery than it is on the ground). Before reaching Stirling Road, the track curved south, then west (its last part corresponds, roughly, to the western half of the modern road through NS40007780). The track disappeared long ago; it is not shown on the 1914 map revision.

These Shared Descriptions are common to multiple images. For example, you can create a generic description for an object shown in a photo, and reuse the description on all photos of the object. All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
