Bramhope Cemetery :: Shared Description

Bramhope cemetery on Moor Road was established in 1861 on land given by the Smith fmaily of Bramhope Hall. It was originally divided into Consecrated and non-Consecrated areas with separate chapels, though that distinction no longer applies, and the chapels are no longer extant. From 1894 the Parish Council took over maintenance of the cemetery from a Burial Board. The cemetery is only for residents of Bramhope & Carlton parish.
