The Old Nag's Head

The Old Nag’s Head is a large, traditional pub dating from 1880 which fronts onto both Jackson's Row and Lloyd Street. It is notable for its classic Victorian pub interior with plenty of wood panelling and a fine island bar and staircase; something becoming increasingly uncommon in an age where many city centre pubs are being modernised and turned into trendy bars. It is, however, most famous for its remarkable collection of photographs which adorn its walls from floor to ceiling. Most of these photos date from the 1960s and the majority focus on George Best and Manchester United. It also has a roof terrace/beer garden with a mural dedicated to Tony Wilson and the Manchester Music Scene.
