Not so coldy at Caldey

On the hottest August Bank Holiday Monday ever we came to Caldey Island, not to find peace and solitude it was packed but to see evidence of its 2remarkable history of religious occupation" ('The Buildings of Wales: Pembrokeshire' Lloyd, T.; Orbach, J.; and Scourfield, R. pp138-148: New Haven; Yale University Press; 2004) We managed to cram in lunch in the café, visits to the Post Office and Museum, the old church, the new church, the tiny chapel, the monks' church, the old mill, the chocolatey kitchen, the perfume shop, another visit to the café for an ice cream and, of course, the gift shop!
