is renowned across the globe as a symbol of peace, non-violence, resistance and resilience. This bronze statue was unveiled outside Manchester Cathedral on 25 November 2019 to mark the 150th anniversary of Gandhi's birth.

The impressive nine-foot tall bronze statue was designed by renowned Indian artist Ram V Sutar. It was given to the city of Manchester by the Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur (SRMD), a worldwide spiritual movement and has been installed at the bottom of Cathedral Yard, outside the cathedral.
