Snape Wood & Birchett's Wood
Snape Wood is a 41 hectare beautiful mosaic mix of pines (old and new), coppiced chestnuts, birch, oak and other native species all criss-crossed with a network of wide sandy paths edged with heather. Birchetts wood is 12 hectares of primarily larch plantation, bordered by a meandering stream, farmland and Snape Wood. Set on a steep bank with a few wide, yet overgrown paths; not easily navigable.
