Palace Hill Terrace

Mid to late 18th century Grade II Listed terrace of 7 houses with mid 19th century altered shops at road level. No.3, Barrington Guest House, has deeds dating back to 1732 and was doubled in depth in 1820. No.4 was rebuilt late 19th century. In 1803 W. Hutton describes Merchants Row and Palace Hill as streets of horror.
