This is one of the largest fields within the Manydown Estate. No different to any of the other fields to the west of Basingstoke which make up this estate.
However in May 2021 the estate managers started to plant up the northern half of the field, which borders the Tangier Estate with vines.
This shared description will be attached to images charting the progress of this new vineyard. A local gamekeeper told me in June 2021 that the first harvest would not be expected for 5 years. Now that's what I call deep pockets.
