"The Circle" by Richard Farrington
"The Circle" is one of three sculptures by the Cleveland Way on Hunt Cliff commissioned from Richard Farrington in 1990. It consists of a large circle with ten hollow metal sculptures hanging within it, leading to its alternative name of "The Charm Bracelet". Each charm represents a story of local culture, tradition or folklore. The original was vandalised and rolled into the sea in 1996; what stands today is a replica.
