The Royal Oak pub, Halifax

The pub in mock Tudor style was built in 1931 by Jackson & Fox of Halifax (who also built the nearby Three Pigeons around the same time) for local brewery Ramsden’s. CAMRA recognises it as a heritage pub and successfully campaigned in 1994 for it to receive Grade II listing (list entry 1272535). At one time in recent years it was given the trendy name Dirty Dick’s but has sensibly reverted to its original name.

About shared descriptions

These Shared Descriptions are common to multiple images.

For example, you can create a generic description for an object shown in a photo, and reuse the description on all photos of the object. All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
