Renfrew Swing Bridge, Doors Open Day 2023
White Cart water is still navigable to the outskirts of Paisley at high tide. These days the only river traffic is the occasional heavy load barge to and from the Babcock engineering works a few hundred yards upstream of the bridge.
The one hundred-year-old bridge was raised on this occasion as part of the Doors Open weekend.
It is a Category A Listed building: Link
