American Pie, then and now
Even The Ramones loved Mom's Apple Pie. And here in the west country is a unique installation that celebrates everything American. Established in 1961 by an American psychiatrist Dallas Pratt and an Englis designer John Judkyn, it depicts a range of rooms across the centuries, some humble some grand. These include Conkey's Tavern where Daniel Shays met with his followers and plotted his famous rebellion against the Massachusetts Government in the 1780s, an event which spawned the US constitution.
