Heritage Plaques of Kingston upon Hull
Postscript: The plaque relating to High Flags Mill, No. 192 Wincolmlee appears to have disappeared. Fortunately, a photo survives in 'Hull Camera 1964-1991' by Ted Tuxworth, p. 74. The plaque reads: '1986 / Seed crushing is one of Hull's oldest port based industries, first recorded in 1525. HIGH FLAGS MILL (c1856) occupies a riverside site for ease of import, the industry being traditionally concentrated in the Wincolmlee area. / HULL CITY COUNCIL'
