Railway Dock, Kingston upon Hull

Opening on 3 December 1846, Railway Dock was connected on the west side of the Humber Dock to the north of Kingston Street. Its primary purpose was for the transfer of goods to and from the newly built Hull and Selby Railway. Railway lines also ran from the goods shed to the Humber Dock. The dock closed in 1968 and, together with Humber Dock, became part of Hull Marina in 1984. Further information in Wikipedia: LinkExternal link
