Mitton Marsh Nature Reserve, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcs
Wyre Forest District Council created the Mitton Marsh Conservation Area in 2021. It forms part of the River Stour wildlife corridor and floodplain. The northern part (north of Mill Road, sometimes known as Mill Lane) is not open to the public. The southern part is, and contains a walk, partly by the riverside, running between Mill Road, and Millfields Drive.
The last section of the path has some steep steps up to Millfields Drive. There is a handrail, but it is not really suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs and the like.
Next to part of the footpath is a fenced off pasture area which is grazed annually by cattle. There is no car park but you can usually park on Millfields Drive. Mill Road is closed to motor vehicles at Mill Road Bridge, which crosses the river.
