Family businesses have been the backbone of the British Isles for ever and a day. At the top, we have the Royal Family followed by the Peerage. It is also part of our High Street. Just today WH Smith & Son announced a major restructuring. And yet 'And Daughter' is a much rarer prefix. Let us hope that diminishes as the 21st century progresses....
