The Rix Group of Kingston upon Hull
The roots of the company date back to 1873 when founder Robert Rix established a ship building business in Teesside, which he subsequently moved to Kingston upon Hull in 1883. Today The Rix Group (changed from J. R. Rix and Sons Ltd in 2022) is involved in a large range of activities ranging from commercial, residential and marine fuel distribution, fuel cards, ship owning, stevedoring, warehousing and offshore wind farm support to holiday home manufacturing, car retail and property. In 2021, the company moved its headquarters from Spyvee Street to Two Humber Quays, Wellington Street West, Kingston upon Hull.
