Spring Bank Conservation Area, Kingston upon Hull
Originally built for mixed residential and commercial use, the dominant land uses now are the distinct groupings of shops, offices and leisure premises. The private frontages between the back of the pavement and the building line, which were originally gardens separated from the public space, have, in a number of places, been brought into use as forecourts and additional display areas for the shops.
The extent of the Conservation Area is depicted at: Link
viz.: between the junction with Spring Bank West / Prince’s Avenue (western boundary) and Spring Street (eastern boundary). The properties included are: Spring Bank Nos. 46 to 244 including Mrytle Villas (north side) and 15 to 231 (south side), Grey Street, Hall Street Nos. 1, 18 & 19, Spring Street Nos. 2 to 10.
