Statues of Kings and Queens, Bradford City Hall

High up on Bradford's Grade I listed City Hall are statues of English and British Kings and Queens, and one Lord Protector. With the exception of Queen Elizabeth I and and Queen Victoria whose statues flank the entrance they appear in chronological order high up on the facade. Two monarchs are not included, Edward V who disappeared in the Tower of London in 1483, and Queen Mary II, though her husband William III with whom she shared the throne is included. The figures are approximately 7 ft(2m) high and carved from Cliffe Wood Quarry stone.
