Borderline Greenway

The Borderline Greenway is a Greenway envisaged to run from Alnmouth Station to Cornhill via Alnwick and Wooler. From Cornhill the route would continue to Berwick. With National Cycle Network route 1 running along the coast, this forms a circular route of around 100 miles.

The first phase connected the Aln Valley Railway Greenway from Alnmouth Station to the trackbed of the former Alnwick to Cornhill railway as far as Half Crown Well. This first section formally opened at 11am on Saturday 29 March 2025.

About shared descriptions

These Shared Descriptions are common to multiple images.
