Kirbuster Farm Museum
Kirbuster Farm Museum is situated at Kirbuster on Mainland Orkney. Its land straddles the Burn of Kirbuster which links the two lochs of Boardhouse and Hundland.
The farm has been turned into a museum and is the last unrestored example of a traditional 'Firehoose' in Northern Europe.
Dating back to 1595 it was occupied as recently as the 1960s. It was opened as a museum in 1987, entry is free (though a donation is appreciated) but it is only open from March to October - see the Orkney Museums website here: Link
