Shared description

Redhill to Tonbridge line

The line was opened in 1842 by the South Eastern Railway (SER). It was part of the first route from London to Dover. It was electrified in 1993. The line branches off the Brighton Main Line at Redhill and joins the South Eastern Main line at Tonbridge.
