The Long Mynd is 22 square kilometres of upland plateau in Shropshire. The name means Long Hill. The highest point on the ridge is Pole Bank at 516m, making it the fourth highest point in Shropshire. Most of the hills are owned by the National Trust. The geology of the hills is mainly Pre-Cambrian in age.
