Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (Lauriston Place site)

The RIE was established in 1729, the Lauriston Place site was built in 1879. It is the oldest voluntary hospital in Scotland, today it is run by NHS Lothian. The Hospital moved to a new edge of city site in 1998. The Lauriston Place site, which is Grade A listed LinkExternal link , is now being redeveloped as the Quartermile housing, shopping, leisure and hotel development.
